The Role of Emotional and Intellectual Safety in Student Learning
This project set out to answer the following questions:
What is the role of faculty in constructing a learning community as a “public
homeplace” that creates an emotionally and intellectually safe space
for students?
What is the impact on student learning when there is emotional and intellectual
safety in a learning community?
The "Safety in the Classroom" presentation contains research findings
and interviews with students speaking about their experiences in the classroom.
