Cascadia Bioregion Map

The theme of Spring Quarter's Day of Learning is Bioregionalism: A Sense of Place and Responsibility with keynote presenter Jean MacGregor, Senior Scholar and Director, "Curriculum for the Bioregion" Initiative, Washington Center for Improving the Quality of Undergraduate Education, the Evergreen State College.

The Day of Learning centers around a new curricular intitiative from the Washington Center and an emerging interest around the issues of environmental sustainability and the role that NSCC as an institution can play. This emerging interest has led to the formation of a "Sustainability Committee" that advises Dr. LaFayette and provides an ongoing discussion among faculty, staff, students and facilities.

This event will be tied to NSCC's General Education Learning Outcomes Number 10 and Number 11.
