nVoicemail Basics for the Audix Voicemail System

To access the voicemail system:
  • Press “Audix” button on phone or Dial ext 6999 (from offsite dial: (206) 587-6999)
  • Enter your ext followed by #
  • Then enter your voicemail password followed by # (first time users see note below)
  • You will then hear the main voicemail option menu.

First Time Users: If you are a first time user you're initial password is "7226" unless otherwise specified. After entering this password you will be prompted to record your name and change the initial password to a new 6-digit password.

To send a voicemail to another party:

  • Dial ext 6999 (or (206) 587-6999 from offsite) and follow the prompts

To Change Voicemail Password:

  • To change your voicemail password choose option 5 from the main voicemail menu (note; you will not hear option 5 listed but press 5 anyway) then press option 4 from the next menu. If the system won't accept your password, contact your campus telephone coordinator, Marc Eskenazi, at extension 7650, or Greg McBrady at ext 3278.
  • Note: If you are a new associate your manager must request an ext and voicemail for you. Then when you first access the voicemail system you will be prompted to record your name and customize your password.

To Change Recorded Name:

  • To change the Recorded Name on your voicemail box choose option 5 from the main voicemail menu (note; you will not hear option 5 listed but press 5 anyway then press 5 again from the next menu. You will be prompted to record your name at the tone.

To Create or Change your Greeting (or Attendant Menu):

  • To change or activate greetings or attendant menus choose option 3 from the main voicemail menu. You'll be prompted to either record a new greeting or listen to an existing greeting. Follow the desired prompt. Note: For mailboxes or attendants with multiple greetings you will also have an option to select which greeting to make active.

Scanning Messages:

  • To listen to messages by auto scan press 7 instead of 2. The system will play all messages one after the other so you don't have to enter a command after each one. Press # to skip through messages.
